The Durham Suite at South Causey hosted the wedding of Caitlyn & Declan.
I had the pleasure to entertain guests during the evening reception and they were a fantastic audience to perform for.
I will never forget Caitlyn & Declan for a number of reasons.
They were lovely, a really fun couple who were meant for each other.
However Caitlyn was special. ……… and set a new record for me lol!
It is extremely common when someone see’s me perform a piece magic which they have no explanation for and their jaws have literally hit the floor in amazement. The first words out of their mouths will tend to be profanities!
Normally ‘ What the ***k’, ……’No ****ing way’……. or just plain ‘**** off! I will gladly take any of these lol!
It happens all the time, whether the event is a high profile corporate, a wedding or a private party. People are human and when in shock they say things that they won’t normal say.
It is meant in the nicest possible way, and is normally quickly followed by sincere apologies for the outburst!
I take these reactions as a compliments, as I want to create magical memories that will stay with someone for the rest of their lives.
With Caitlyn every piece of magic that I showed her and Declan resulted in one of those reactions, and I made sure they saw a lot of magic that night!
I told Caitlyn I would happily pay her to come to all my shows Lol
