On a red hot summers day the beautiful grounds of Hardwick Hall Hotel played host to the 2026 Amazon Summer Carnival family fun day.
The size of this event had to seen to be believed, it was bigger and better than the summer 2025 Carnival, like a scaled down version of the ‘Hoppings ‘.
Three weeks in the planning the logistics of this event are staggering! From the ticketing, organising the free car parking to providing a hot meal and drinks for 2000 guests.
It stretched as far as the eye could see with countless fair ground rides and attractions, singer, magician face painters, make up artists, costume characters, stilt performers, Durham Police motor cycles, Iveco truck, local supplier stalls and many more!
There really was something for everybody and the atmosphere was just fantastic!
I have now lost count of how many Amazon events I have had the pleasure to be a part of now. I have said it before and will say it again nobody hosts a large scale event like Amazon!
Chelsea Tuite and her team you did an unbelievable job in planing, organising and running the event.
Aways countless Amazon staff members around to help and co-ordinate things.
Congratulations to Hardwick Hall and their staff for hosting this event, I doubt any other hotel could cope with an event of this size.
